About Take Two: 

Take Two is a state-wide service providing high quality therapeutic services to children and young people who have suffered significant abuse or neglect and are clients of Child Protection.

Take Two is an intensive therapeutic service for infants, children and young people who have suffered trauma, neglect and disrupted attachment. It provides high quality therapeutic services for children and their families, as well as contributing to the service system that provides care, support and protection for these children.

About the role:

NJERNDA ABORIGINAL COOPERATIVE (NAC) delivers health, social welfare and community development programs to local Aboriginal people in the Echuca area. This position is a Take Two Berry Street appointment in partnership with NAC, as part of the Aboriginal Therapeutic Home Based Care Program in the Echuca area. The ATHBC Program aims to enhance therapeutic care for Aboriginal children and young people in foster and kinship care through enhancing the capacity of care teams and staff to deliver trauma-informed therapeutic response to children and young people.

About you:

  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or related discipline, Post Graduate training is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience conducting mental health clinical work with children.
  • Be confident to provide training and support to program staff, carers and members of each child’s therapeutic network.
  • Extensive experience providing secondary consultation concerning the mental health needs of clients.
  • Provide high quality clinical assessment which forms the basis for a therapeutic care plan and facilitation of culturally appropriate healing programs to Child Protection clients in home-based care through NAC as required.
  • Have a full drivers licence and have/able to obtain an Employee WWCC card.
