This opportunity has arisen due to new funding allocated to the broader Family and Domestic Violence Team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with providing outreach case management including assessment and support to women and their children in a variety of settings across the Northern Region.

The successful candidate provide coordination and support to a small team delivering timely, same day, responses to clients requiring direct assistance, including implementing RAMP actions, responding to women and children in crisis accommodation and facilitating safety responses as detailed in the Personal Safety Initiative guidelines.

This role will ensure the integration of this suite of responses with the broader family violence team as well as linking with external services as required.

About you:

  • You have a strong understanding of the complexity of family violence and various service systems that clients interface with and the advocacy required in these systems.
  • You have a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, welfare or a related discipline
  • You have a solid understanding of relevant legislation including Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and the Child, Youth and Families Act 2007
  • You are a great team player with a positive attitude
